Tyler Pipe Team Walks/Runs in Support of Sickle Cell Research

In September, the African American Cultural Events Committee in Tyler, Texas hosted their annual Sickle Cell Youth Scholarship 5K Walk/Run.  Just in time for the event the clouds parted and the ground dried up and gave way to a beautiful morning.  Several Tyler Pipe team members participated in the event.  The funds raised will fund scholarships for local high school seniors to attend college and also help support the Sickle Cell Disease Association which educates residents in the Tyler/Lindale community about sickle cell disease.
